It’s been featured on cable TV shows. They focus on the road, but we’ll be reaching the souls who live in the valleys and mountaintops in the Yungas Region of Bolivia. Life is short. Death is sure. Sin is the problem. Christ the cure.

This Road of Death…

as it is also called, is lined with gravemarkers where people have died. We hope to reach the isolated and hard to reach souls here for Christ before it is eternally too late.

Support is growing. After our first official month on deputation we are at about 12% support. This includes monthly support from both churches and individuals.

 

Things to pray for:

  1. Wisdom: Jesus said we should be wise as serpents, harmless as doves. (See Matthew 10:16)
  2. Boldness: That’s why we are given the Holy Spirit. (See the book of Acts!)
  3. Safety: We want to survive the difficult campaigns, so that we may keep busy until Christ returns.
  4. That God would open doors, open hearts. If God doesn’t do it, nothing really gets done.

If you don’t know Christ…

The world’s most dangerous road is truly any road that is traveled without Jesus Christ.

I have a duty and a high calling to declare to you a message of survival that you may or may not have already heard. It is this:

The God that created all that exists sent Jesus to earth so that you could survive your own impending death.

This is good news. Jesus Himself went through a lot of trouble and an unimaginable amount of pain to bring you this important message of human survival. But the message does not end there. Jesus came and taught us about His Father; who just happens to be the Creator of the universe.

This is high knowledge. This is the most sublime subject a human being could consider. Consider this:

  1. God is the Creator.
  2. He sent Jesus to be the Savior of the whole world.
  3. Jesus, as the Son of God, was the planned payment for your transgressions, sins, errors, and crimes against other human beings – which are actually transgressions against God Himself.
  4. You absolutely will die a physical death one day – relatively soon in the scope of things.
  5. As followers of Jesus we proclaim this – the Gospel – to every person on earth, that

Jesus suffered in our place and for our transgressions when He died in Jerusalem about the year 33 AD. He was unjustly sentenced to capital punishment, which at that time under Roman rule was death by crucifixion.

Jesus died on the cross according to the prophecies written about the Messiah in the Jewish Scriptures.

Jesus was dead for three days and three nights.

Jesus rose bodily from the dead. He is alive now and will never die. He truly is the Son of God.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Believe this and you will be on the world’s only safe road. You will receive untold benefits, the greatest of which is simply being able to travel life’s road in safety with Christ. The words of Jesus will live in your heart. He does not change you into a different person, He makes you more of the person He created you to be; the best you possible. He gives His followers an abundant life.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”  (John 10:10)

Some followers of Jesus Christ think the greatest benefit of believing is salvation, or as I have said, surviving your own death. They will emphasize eternal life, which is obviously very, very important. Honestly though, Jesus Himself is more important than simply living forever. It would be a literal hell to live forever without Jesus. In fact, that is exactly what hell is, eternal existence without God. Jesus said that He was life. Those who choose to reject Jesus choose eternal existence without life, which is eternal death.

Get on the safest road, the only road, to eternal life and spend eternity with Jesus Christ.
