There are only 195 nations on planet earth today. That does not seem insurmountable. I believe Paul would have wanted to reach them all for Christ. I believe Christ wants them all reached for Himself. What are we waiting for? What are you waiting for?

God doesn’t call everyone to go everywhere because if He did, there would be no local churches. We would all be on the road, all the time. He does, however, call us all to go somewhere. Amen?

The Lord knows most people like to stay put. In fact, it took a great catastrophe to get the early church to move. The Holy Spirit was theirs! He was in them, guiding them. When commanded to go, they just stayed put until dire circumstances got them moving.

Not the Apostle Paul. God saved him, and called him to a unique ministry. God even separated Paul and Barnabas for their special work for God.

As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. —Acts 13:2

Paul was resolute on preaching the gospel

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. —1 Corinthians 1:17

Paul didn’t take petty excuses for not obeying Christ

But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none… —1 Corinthians 7:29

Paul wanted to go where no one had been with the gospel

Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation: —Romans 15:20

To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s line of things made ready to our hand. —2 Corinthians 10:16

The only thing that prevented Paul from reaching further was jail

Seems like if the Apostle Paul were alive on earth today, he would be reaching further for Christ. Unless, of course, he was in jail.

Praise God for those who are willing to leave the comforts of their homes to preach the gospel.  This includes those who are willing to leave their beds on Saturday mornings to reach their own neighborhoods for Christ.  This also includes extreme mission evangelists alive today like the Apostle Paul. They’re reaching lost souls for Christ in the farthest reaches around the world. That’s what I want to do. Reach those hard-to-reach, and forgotten for Christ that no one else is reaching.

A prayer: God help us be more, and do more, in reaching those who have never heard Your precious gospel. Amen.
