Hell is extreme. Hell is hideous. To think that someone would suffer for all eternity is more extreme than the thought of heaven, to me.

“And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”

Satan is extreme, but he is not the one with the power to cast anyone into hell. He is no match for Christ. Only Jesus has power to keep anyone out of that horrible place called hell.

“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

We all die. What could be more extreme than that? Jesus, the most popular figure in human history claims the most extreme claim of all time. He says that He alone can save us from hell. I guess that’s why they call Him Savior.

I guess that’s why they call Him the Savior.

Hell is real. Hell is extreme. The only remedy is Jesus Christ. That’s why we have been given a mandate from Christ to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  

John 3:16

It’s all so extreme. Those of us who know Christ, ought to do what we can to tell others about the love of God in Christ.
